Prospect Riding Center is a therapeutic horseback riding center that helps individuals with special needs overcome physical, developmental or psychological challenges in their lives.
Our instructors and volunteers consistently provide a warm, nurturing and safe environment to our clientele to help them grow physically, emotionally and socially.
With more than 20 acres for trail riding, three arenas for private or small group lessons, and a round pen for individual instruction, our clients develop core strength and balance, enhanced self-esteem, and increase their communication and social skills.
By providing a fun and educational experience, we hope to promote a lifelong interest in equine activities, whether for sport or therapy, and a deep appreciation and love of horses.

At Prospect Riding Center, we are dedicated to providing equine-based therapeutic activities and recreational riding in a safe and supportive environment.
We value diversity and recognize that all of our clients, regardless of their abilities, are deserving of respect.
We strive to teach persistence, patience and courage through natural interactions with horses.
We are proud of the positive impact our organization has had on the lives of our clients, our volunteer team, and our community.
Not only a difference for a day but for a lifetime.

Over the past several decades, therapeutic riding has evolved both nationally and internationally. Prospect Riding Center is a member of PATH International, which is the governing body for therapeutic riding programs. PATH is the acronym for the Professional Association of Therapeutic Horsemanship International.
Although there are agencies and organizations that exist to help individuals with special needs, Prospect Riding Center is unique in that we offer beginner riding as well as inviting family members and friends to participate and enhance not only the independence in the life of the participant but extend to those they are attached to, creating memories that continue to nurture beyond the lesson time, an interaction that makes a real and positive impact on the client’s life. We are experienced in the nuances of running this type of riding program and are committed to providing services in a unique and more global way.
